I broke the f*cking dam!

Hey everyone!

In an earlier post I spoke about my new YouTube channel. At the moment it has a few movie reviews on it, but I will soon be expanding to vlogs, sketches and short films. I could do with a few more subscribers and views, so if you would like to check it out then click here. I'm also looking for a sketch artist to design my channel art (because I can't draw for shit!), so if any of you are interested in that please let me know!

I also have a Facebook fan page set up, so if you have a Facebook account I'd really appreciate you liking my page.

Furthermore, I have a Twitter account where I spend most of my time these days.

One more thing (I swear it's just one!), I have been accepted into City University in London to study a masters degree in playwriting and screenwriting. So that's very exciting. And pants-shittingly terrifying. But mostly exciting!

Hope everyone is okay!

Wow, I haven't updated LJ in so long it took me about 5 minutes to figure out which button to press!

So, yeah, it's been a while. Is anyone even still here? Very quick update to bring you up to speed, just in case you care: I graduated from Bangor University nearly a year ago with an upper 2nd class degree in English language & creative writing, and I've been putting that degree to good use by...becoming a part-time cleaner. Yeah, this economy sucks for graduates. Been struggling with living with my parents for a while, but in a week I will be spreading my wings and moving to London! I have applied to London Film School to do an MA in screenwriting, though I'm still waiting on my acceptance/rejection letter. Whether I get in or not, though, I really want to be living in London. I am absolutely in love with it.

Anyway, my shitty job has left plenty of time for me to be creative...too bad I didn't utilise that time very well. I took part in NaNoWriMo, but a severe case of writers' block followed by a severe case of the flu meant that I only just passed the halfway mark. If anyone is interested in reading it in first draft form, it is available here. I started a blog, which focuses on both nothing and everything, and rarely gets updated (though I'm hoping I will get more inspiration for that soon). I have also started a new YouTube channel with drunk movie reviews. So far I have reviewed the first Twilight film, and the second is on its way. I have planned a tie-in blog where I give a proper (i.e. sober) critique of each film I watch, instead of just screaming at the screen and facepalming.
Here is the first episode for anyone interested:

I have opted into monetisation to hopefully get a bit of extra cash to see me through my masters degree, so the more you spread it around the better! (But only if you like it/want to, obviously).

Other than that, there haven't really been any major developments, but the next few months should have a lot of them - hence me restarting on here!
Hope everyone is dandy!

Hello, everyone!

I know, I'm terrible at keeping up-to-date on LJ, sorry!

Is anyone in London this weekend? I've got a spare ticket for Matilda The Musical going on Saturday evening, and a spare Comedy Store ticket for Sunday evening. If anyone is free to join me and two of my uni mates on either or both of these dates, please let me know!

(This London trip is a gradution present from my mum. I got a 2:1! :D)

Hope everyone is well.

So...I haven't been here in forever. Apparently it's almost a year since my last update. Jesus. I blame university (graduating in July, eek!).

Who's still alive on this thing? Would love to get in contact with all my old friends! :)

I know I haven't posted in FOREVER, and I'm sorry this is so dry and boring, but I'm sure a few of you would be knowledgeable in this:

For my dissertation I am comparing political discourse in real life to political discourse in scripted television. I was wondering if people could suggest to me television shows (which have at least one complete season/series) which have a strong political backdrop or have political figures as main (or recurring) characters. It doesn't matter what genre the show is, although comedy should be avoided if possible as I'm already using The Thick Of It, The Simpsons and South Park in this genre. I've also thought of The West Wing, 24 and The Wire. I need at least 4 or 5 other shows for this study to be worthwhile, so fire away!

A proper post will follow later this month, I swear! If anyone wants to stalk me keep a closer eye on me, I now mainly reside on Twitter (@_Sess_) and Facebook (Sian 'Sess' Champion). :)

...but I'm drunk.

Whilst I was out clubbing tonight, I realised I was surrounded by couples. At the time I was too drunk to care. Now I've had a coffee and sobered up a little, I'm starting to realise how lonely I am. I need to get out there, join some LGBT groups and fucking meet somebody! Even the guy who was flirting with EVERYBODY didn't flirt with me, that's a fucking downer. :(

But I am deserving of somebody, and I know this because my best friend told me in the toilet! Good God, I am going to look back on this post and cringe....

I love you all! xxxxxx

P.S. How awesome was the South Park season finale!? Haven't laughed so hard since the 'Jersey Shore' episode! XD

Since when did LiveJournal start having pop-up fucking adverts that block the screen unless you close them or wait for them to play out??? Grrr....

Anyway, that's not what I came to 'grrr' about. I came to 'grrr' about Student Finance England (again) who are STILL failing to give me my God damn loan. I've already had to borrow an embarrassing amount from my parents (who can't really afford it, which is making me feel incredibly guilty), and I am now living off my credit card, which I will not be able to pay off until the loan comes through. If it's not here in a week, I am going to call them up again and have a spaz at them until I SEE the money on my God damn fucking bank account!!!!!!!!

I'm not so much worried about actually living day-to-day, as my lovely friend and housemate Danni said she'd see me through it if she has to, but my rent money goes out automatically. I already had a big fuck-up with my landlord because October's rent didn't get to him until...a couple of days ago.

BUT, I'm surprisingly cheery! We made Halloween cakes the other day, which were awesoooome, and I'm generally enjoying my life and my studies. :)
Hope everyone is well! xxx

I'm having a great time at sunny_bexster's place, with her boyfriend (who I've never met before, but is a really fun time!) and zombie_kitty666. I'd forgotten how much I miss these two!!!
So far we've watched a couple of episodes of South Park (the geeky ones: WoW & Facebook), Cannibal! The Musical (naked Matt Stone. Ya can't go wrong.), BASEketball (ditto), a few Nostalgia Critic reviews (I like that guy!), Glee ('Grilled Cheesus' is my new religion on Facebook!), The Room (which is SO bad, you HAVE to watch it!!! Hai doggy!), and part of Role Models (but now we're all drunk/tired/all of the above, so we've retired to our respective beds). Not to mention all the catch-up/reminiscent chats we've had.

Got a bit of time with them tomorrow, but I need to leave before 3 which really, really, REALLY sucks. Stupid Sunday trains. At least the return ticket was cheap. On a similar note, I'd like to thank Bex for giving me a nice, fun, cheap weekend. It was very much needed after Student Finance England's fuck up.

I'll be sad to go home tomorrow, but I am looking forward to seeing my housemates again! I especially miss Danni, and I feel a little guilty for leaving her when she was ill (even though I booked the tickets months before she got ill...).

All is good. I am happy. Hooray! :D

I am so furious with Student Finance England. They failed to send my application to the assessors, so it'll now be approximately 7 weeks until I get my loan.

I have £211 in the bank.

(Don't feel too sorry for me - I can always go to the SU to borrow a little cash if things get really tight, and until then my wonderful housemate/coursemate/best mate Danni said she'd help see me through it. I just want everyone to be really, really livid with Student Finance England because they suck hairy donkey balls.)
