Three years ago I lost my best friend in a car crash. I wish I could have her back but I'm a lot better about it now. The only reason I'm misty is because I'm hormonal. But seriously guys, thanks for putting up with this yearly.

What a weekend!

It was soooooo hot. Saturday we went to the improbably named Seaton Carew and went to the seaside. There we bought a bucket and spade and dug holes and buries each other and made sandcastles and got soaking wet in the sea. It was glorious, we had a picnic, played football and lazed around for ages...lovely.
Later we had tea outside. Hot hot hot. Nick sunburnt his head while wearing shades and has panda eyes! heehee

Sunday we went to the dreaded Toys R Us to get a few birthday presents for some of andrew's friends and to scope out a present or two for Andrew's own birthday...think i know what we're getting him.
Then on the way back we went shopping (a whole week's worth of shopping in 15-20 minutes WORLD RECORD)
Then we went to the Angel of the North for a picnic. I'd never been before. It's so damn close and i'd never been, and the one time i do go i don't even have my camera!!! Oh well it was sunny and we enjoyed our picnic and then had an ice lolly.

Later after digging the garden some at home i made quiche for the tea, a rhubarb sponge and salad then Andrew and I watched the first ep of the new re-invented GLadiators. It was everything i expected and more. Andrew loved it and has talked about nothing else since seeing it. So we're scheduled in his book to watch all of them from now on.
